1. Authorship Policy

Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made substantial intellectual contributions to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the study. All authors must actively participate in drafting or critically revising the manuscript, approve the final version, and accept accountability for the integrity and accuracy of the work.

The journal requires a formal Author Contribution Statement based on the CRediT taxonomy to ensure transparency in individual roles and contributions. Individuals who do not meet these criteria—such as those providing funding, general supervision, or technical assistance—should not be listed as authors but may be acknowledged with permission where appropriate.

The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring accurate authorship representation, obtaining approval from all co-authors, and managing all communication with the journal. Any changes to authorship after submission, including addition, removal, or reordering, require written consent from all authors and approval from the editorial office.

The journal strictly prohibits guest, honorary, or ghost authorship and will take appropriate action in cases of authorship misconduct.

2. Data Sharing and Availability Policy

JMP promotes research transparency, reproducibility, and responsible data stewardship by encouraging authors to make underlying data and materials publicly available where ethically and legally feasible.

All submissions must include a Data Availability Statement specifying whether supporting data are accessible and, if so, providing details such as data type, repository, access conditions, and a persistent identifier. Authors are encouraged to deposit datasets, analytical code, and research instruments in recognized repositories and formally cite them in the reference list.

Data should be made available by the time of publication and retained for a reasonable period (typically at least five years) to support verification and replication. Where data cannot be shared due to ethical, legal, or confidentiality constraints, authors must clearly justify the restrictions and indicate whether access can be granted upon reasonable request.

The journal reserves the right to request underlying data during review or post-publication, and authors remain responsible for ensuring accuracy, compliance, and proper permissions in data sharing.

3. Archiving Policy

JMP is committed to the long-term preservation, integrity, and accessibility of its published content through established digital archiving systems.

The journal utilizes trusted platforms such as PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), LOCKSS, and CLOCKSS to ensure secure and redundant storage of articles, metadata, and supplementary materials. These systems provide decentralized, geographically distributed, and community-governed preservation to protect against data loss, technical failure, or journal discontinuation.

All archived content is maintained in its final published form to ensure authenticity and prevent unauthorized alteration. This approach aligns with international best practices in digital preservation and ensures the permanent availability of the scholarly record.

4. Corrections, Retractions, and Errata

If an author identifies a significant error in a published work, they must promptly notify the Editor-in-Chief. The journal will issue a corrigendum, erratum, or retraction as appropriate.

The journal follows COPE guidelines for handling retractions, expressions of concern, and post-publication corrections.

5. Human Subjects and Ethics Approval

Research involving human participants must state that informed consent was obtained and provide the name of the ethics committee or institutional review board that approved the study.

Authors must confirm compliance with applicable national and international ethical standards for research involving human subjects, including the Declaration of Helsinki where applicable.

JMP accepts advertisements that are relevant to its academic audience and aligned with its mission and ethical standards.

All advertisements must be accurate, professional, and non-misleading, and must not contain deceptive or inappropriate content. Advertising is clearly distinguished from editorial content, and its acceptance does not imply endorsement by the journal or its editors.

Editorial decisions remain fully independent, and the journal reserves the right to approve, reject, or remove advertisements to protect its integrity and credibility.

7. Article Withdrawal Policy

JMP upholds strict standards to preserve the integrity, quality, and permanence of the scholarly record, requiring authors to ensure accuracy, originality, and ethical compliance prior to submission.

Manuscripts must be submitted exclusively to one journal at a time, with finalized authorship and verified data integrity. Withdrawal before acceptance is permitted only under exceptional circumstances and requires a written request signed by all authors, subject to editorial approval.

The journal reserves the right to withdraw manuscripts at any stage if ethical violations such as plagiarism, duplicate submission, or data falsification are identified. Post-publication withdrawal is not permitted; instead, issues are addressed through corrections, retractions, removals, or, in rare cases, article replacement.

Retracted articles remain accessible with clear notices to ensure transparency and accountability. All withdrawal decisions rest solely with the Editorial Board and are guided by ethical principles, without influencing the independence of the peer-review process.

8. Open Access Policy

This journal is an open-access journal, providing immediate and unrestricted access to all published content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Articles published in JMP are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY).

All articles published in the Journal of Management Perspectives are protected under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0).

Copyright is retained by the respective author(s). By submitting a manuscript, authors grant JMP and Global Panacea Pvt. Ltd. a non-exclusive licence to publish, reproduce, and distribute the work under the stated licence terms.

Authors who wish to reuse their published work in other publications, edited volumes, or academic presentations may do so with appropriate citation of the original JMP publication.

10. Submission Policy

JMP considers submissions on the condition that they adhere to the highest standards of academic integrity and publication ethics.

Authors must confirm that the manuscript is original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere, except for limited prior dissemination (e.g., conference abstracts or theses) with full disclosure.

All listed authors must have made substantial contributions, approved the final manuscript, and agreed to its submission, with the corresponding author ensuring proper authorship representation.

Where applicable, authors must confirm that all necessary ethical and institutional approvals have been obtained. The journal conducts strict screening for plagiarism and inappropriate AI use prior to peer review.

Manuscripts that do not meet the journal’s scope, quality, ethical, or formatting requirements may be rejected at the initial editorial stage.

11. Plagiarism Policy

All submitted manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using Turnitin or iThenticate prior to peer review. Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding the threshold set by the editorial board will be rejected or returned for revision.

JMP maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism, self-plagiarism, text recycling, and redundant or duplicate publication.

The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to generate substantial portions of manuscript text without appropriate disclosure constitutes academic misconduct. Authors must declare any use of generative AI tools in the Methods or Acknowledgements section.

12. Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy

JMP acknowledges the growing role of generative AI tools in scholarly work and permits their limited use to enhance clarity, structure, and readability, provided such use is transparent and ethically compliant.

Authors may use AI for language improvement and organizational support but must not rely on it for generating core scientific content, data, analysis, or interpretation. AI tools cannot be listed as authors under any circumstances.

All AI use must be fully disclosed in an AI Use Statement, and authors remain solely responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of all content, including verification of references and data.

Reviewers may use AI in a limited capacity for organizing feedback but must ensure that all evaluations are independently written, confidential, and grounded in professional judgment.

Editors may use AI for administrative and workflow support but must not use it for manuscript evaluation or publication decisions, ensuring full editorial independence and adherence to ethical standards.

The journal strictly prohibits undisclosed or unethical AI use, including AI-generated plagiarism or data manipulation, and any violations may result in rejection, correction, or retraction.

All stakeholders are required to ensure that AI use does not compromise the integrity of the research or the publication process. This policy is subject to periodic review to remain aligned with evolving technological and ethical standards.
